David J. Thompson grew up in Hyde Park, New York, and holds degrees from Hobart College in Geneva, New York, and McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
He has taught English and French and coached baseball and basketball at college prep schools in New York, Texas, Michigan and Florida. He plans to move soon to North Carolina.
David has traveled extensively in Asia, Europe and the United States.
His interests include film, jazz, and minor league baseball. Elvis, John Sayles, Chet Baker, John Prine, Brooks Robinson, and Frank O’Hara are high on his list of heroes.
